A new partnership joins the network of nurseries:
The “Indigenous Association of Entrepreneurial Women”
Since February 2020, a new association belongs to the “Green Nursery Network” of Impulso Verde.
The Mujer Emprendedora Association is located on la vereda La Boyera municipality of Cumbal. It is made up of 45 female women mostly residents of the rural area which has been affected in its past by the armed conflict. Since its inception, the organization contributes to the community by developing activities that seek to involve women mainly in projects with a sense of leadership and ownership of the territory. The Association is born from the struggle for territory and the claim of rights for insecurity. The organization was established with the aim of improving the quality of life of each of the partners, seeking gender equality and the participation of each of them and them because men, children and the elderly have also integrated.
The association has been supported by the National Learning Service (SENA) which provided technical advice and materials to make a nursery. They already have basic experience in the propagation of plant material and in the planting of trees.
Currently, the association is working in conjunction with Impulso Verde Colombia to strengthen nursery, reforestation and restoration activities.
