The project presented aims to preserve the moorland ecosystem and water resources in the Colombian Andes. In Colombia, 60% of the water consumed comes from the p\u00e1ramos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project was able to compete in two different categories: &#8220;Water&#8221; and &#8220;Forests and Flora&#8221;. Out of 2,540 projects, the foundation&#8217;s Impulso Verde project was selected among the top 500. In the &#8220;Water&#8221; category, it took 13th place and in the &#8220;Forest and flora&#8221; category, 40th place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The results achieved in the Latinoam\u00e9rica Verde awards are encouraging, as this is Impulso Verde&#8217;s first participation.
