At Impulso Verde, we are convinced that communities know better than anyone what projects or solutions must be developed in the ecosystem where they live and that we all want to protect or restore.
It is the reason why, we act in symbiosis and in a complementary way to identify, design, implement and carry out these solutions.
On the other hand, Impulso Verde always seeks to strengthen its partner communities but also seeks to systematically involve new community associations as the program grows.
A systemic and alliance-strengthened program
Since the creation of the foundation in 2019, the Impulso Verde’s team devoted its time and energy to strengthening and expanding the community program in its globality to become systemic, that is, not only focused on reforestation activities developed since 2016, but also on alternative economies to deforestation, community beekeeping and biodiversity awareness.
Impulso Verde also seeks institutional and academic partners in order to strengthen the activities of communities, carry out new pilot projects and expand productive and organizational capacity. The network made up of Impulso Verde and the allied associations has a vocation to become an important player in the reforestation and restoration of ecosystems in the region.
Thus, the foundation can count on important partners to carry out its mission, such as the National Open and Distance University (UNAD), the National Learning Service of Ipiales (SENA), the Nariño Autonomous Corporation (AUNAR) and the Secretary of Rural Development of Ipiales.
The creation of the “Impulso Verde’s Nursery Network” is part of this dynamic.
