Antoine Gérigné – President and Founder
Engineer in “Rural Engineering, Water and Forestry” in France, Antoine worked more than 20 years ago in Colombia, on aqueduct and sewerage master plans. Back in France, he worked in a consulting firm in strategy, marketing and commercial efficiency before joining a leading international French group in environmental services, where he contributed a few years later to the creation of the sustainable development department and then created the group’s marketing department. In 2017, it decided to establish itself in Colombia.
Parallel to his professional activity, Antoine co-founded in 2009 a French reforestation association. He managed it operationally for more than 10 years. At the end of 2015, he created the community reforestation program in the Colombian Andes with Maikov Dumas (technical referent of Impulso Verde), then in 2018 he created a second reforestation program with Mayan communities in Mexico. In 2019, he decided to found the Impulso Verde Foundation in Colombia and dedicate himself 100% to its development.
For Antoine, the protection and restoration of ecosystems are essential to confront climate change and limit the emergence of pandemics. Reforestation actions must absolutely involve rural and indigenous communities through the development of economic activities that value biodiversity and allow the combination of ecology and economy in the long term.
