To date, the association has worked with 8 indigenous communities, supporting the planting of more than 50,000 trees, divided into more than 50 species, the majority being native species.
At the same time, he was responsible for 8 years for the reforestation programs of the French NGO founded by Antoine, supervising social reforestation projects in several Latin American countries (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico) and on other continents. Since November 2019, he is Senior Program Coordinator of a French organization whose main objective is to improve the standard of living of farmers through sustainable agriculture and ecological restoration projects in countries of the South.
One of his greatest achievements was the launch and establishment of the community reforestation project in the department of Nariño for 4 years. His supervision allowed the strengthening of 4 associations and their community nurseries to carry out the planting of more than 150,000 endemic trees.
Maïkov is convinced that the well-being of rural communities is related to a sustainable management of biodiversity and is passionate about the conservation and enhancement of local species.
