Thanks to your support, we contribute together in:
Reforest and restore the Andean forest with more than 50 endemic species;
Protect a unique ecosystem in the world, one of the richest in biodiversity of all mountain ecosystems;
Protect water resources;
To ensure income for dozens of families;
Acting to mitigate climate change;
Contribute to creating carbon/CO2 wells;
Protect bees, pollinate and secure income for communities.
The financing of community reforestation activities corresponds to:
- Tree production in community nurseries
- Animation of the Nursery Network and training courses
- Identification of land and beneficiaries
- Logistics and delivery of the trees
- Planting activities
- Protection of trees when necessary
- Geolocation of the reforested plots
- N+1 follow-up
- Coordination and strengthening of the reforestation program
- Impulso Verde’s administration and operation
- The preparation of a detailed annual report
Impulso Verde also includes in the plantation budget a contribution to an innovation fund (4%) to improve nursery propagation, field planting and/or monitoring techniques, as well as a contribution to a fund to raise children’s awareness of biodiversity (4%).
Impulso Verde is committed to:
Geolocate by GPS the reforested or restored plots, with the name of the beneficiaries, number of trees and species planted
Ensure the monitoring of plantations
Provide access to photos and videos of the project throughout the year so that you can communicate with your stakeholders
Submit a detailed annual report (in English, Spanish or French)
Welcome eventual ambassadors of your company who would like to visit the project (Green Team, winners of an internal company contest, …)
In the case of considering carbon storage by trees:
Estimar la cantidad de carbono almacenado por las plantaciones, sobre la base del referencial de certificación “Reforestación Solidaria” de la empresa certificadora Ecocert.
A portion of the funds used to finance tree planting and monitoring activities come from sponsoring companies that wish to offset their carbon footprint after having taken internal measures to measure and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. As part of this voluntary initiative, sponsors choose to directly support organizations that carry out projects in the field, without going through the carbon finance market (purchase of carbon credits).
