
Antoine Gérigné – President and Founder
Biologist by training and an engineer in Rural Development, Water, and Forestry in France. He began his professional career in Colombia, where he worked for two years as a project engineer on master plans for drinking water and sewerage systems. Upon returning to France, he joined a consulting firm specializing in strategy, marketing, and business development before moving to VEOLIA, a leading global player in environmental services. There, he held positions including Director of Sustainable Business Development and later Vice President of Marketing for the group.
Alongside his professional career, in 2009 he founded a French association dedicated to supporting community reforestation programs in several countries of the Global South.
In 2017, he decided to return to Colombia and fully dedicate himself to ecological restoration led by local communities.
He created the Impulso Verde Kuaspue Foundation – “water seed” in Quechua – which supports rural and indigenous communities in implementing sustainable production models such as the cultivation and planting of native plant material through a network of community nurseries, agroecology, silvopastoral systems and sustainable livestock, as well as the development of green enterprises like community beekeeping or the transformation of plants into cosmetics, among others.
