Jairo Muñoz – Silvopastoral System Coordinator
Jairo Josué Muñoz Gómez is a zootechnician and graduate of the University of Nariño. Jairo was trained in the importance of silvopastoral systems and ecosystem restoration in tropical dry forest (bms-T) and high Andean forest.
Jairo has also helped rural, indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities to implement sustainable agriculture and resource management. He has also worked for non-governmental organizations and public bodies.
At Impulso Verde, Jairo is in charge of the project “Implementation of silvopastoral systems with small-scale livestock farmers for the restoration of rural landscapes and the reduction of anthropic pressure on the Andean forest and páramo in the province of Obando, Nariño”.
