
Diego M. Escobar Rivero – Technical Specialist in Agroforestry and Community Nurseries
Agronomist, Specialist in Wood Production and Processing. He works as a lecturer at Universidad del Valle in areas such as agroforestry, integrated farms, plant breeding, and agroforestry production systems I and II, at campuses in Cali and Palmira. He has extensive experience in the public sector, participating in urban tree inventories for the updating of PGIRS (Integrated Solid Waste Management Plans) in municipalities such as Guacarí, Ginebra, Candelaria, Dagua, Yotoco, Palmira, and Jamundí. He has supported community initiatives with an international focus in the Cocuyos district and the Copachí nursery in the Guabas River basin, municipality of Ginebra, Valle del Cauca. He has contributed technically to the Silviculture Plan of Santiago de Cali and participated in the formulation of the Valle del Cauca Departmental Green Business Plan (2016). At Impulso Verde, he supports the technical strengthening of community nurseries in Valle del Cauca, compliance with ICA regulations, the production and propagation of native seedlings for ecological restoration, and seed conservation processes.
